North Dakota Legislative Districts

North Dakota has 47 Legislative Districts, each comprised of one Senator and two Representatives. Each of these elected legislatures serve four year terms. Even numbered legislative districts are elected during General Election or Presidential Election years and odd numbered districts are elected on Mid-Term Election years.

Of the 47 Senators, the North Dakota Democratic-NPL has 15 Senators and of the 94 Representatives, the North Dakota Democratic-NPL has 22 Representatives.

These Senators & Representatives meet every two years for an 80 day legislative session in the Capitol City of Bismarck.

John Grabinger is running for the North Dakota Senate in District 12. John is a former City Councilman who served Jamestown for eight years. He has a strong family background in local Dem-NPL politics. John's grandfather was a charter member of the NPL and his father Bob served as district chair for many years. He is a well-respected business owner in a well-established family business of Grabinger Marina. John approaches city matters by constantly siding with people, and is well respected for adhering to those basic principles of good effective government.

Representative Jessica Haak 

Jessica Haak is running for the North Dakota House in District 12. She currently works at the North Dakota Farmers Union as the Membership Development Coordinator. Jessica serves as the co-president for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and also serves on the North Dakota Women's Network Board. She is also an avid volunteer for the Safe Shelter, drives Meals on Wheels and coaches Special Olympics Volleyball. Jessica also serves as a Deacon at the United Church of Christ in Jamestown.

Tyler Axness is running for the North Dakota Senate in District 16. Tyler is a fifth generation North Dakotan, born in Devils Lake and living in Leeds before he moved to Fargo to attend North Dakota State University. Larry Robinson has served in the North Dakota Senate since elected in 1988. He is the Executive Director of University Advancement at Valley City State University in Valley City, ND. Larry has served on the Appropriations and Delayed Bills Committees most recently in the 2011 Regular Session. Larry is the past president of the Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce; Elks; Eagles; Knights of Columbus; Kiwanis; Barnes County Wildlife Federation; Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce; Governor's Alcohol & Drug Prevents Advisory Task Force; Barnes County Meth Task Force; Board, Mental Health America; Drug Court Advisory Committee; St. Catherine's Catholic Church; Legislative Council 1991-2005. Representative Naomi Muscha

Naomi Muscha is running for the North Dakota House in District 24. Naomi is a former teacher for Kindred, Leonard and Enderlin area high schools, and has lived in Enderlin since 1968. She is very involved with a group of people from her church, Faith Assembly of God in Lisbon and First Lutheran Church of Enderlin on mission trips and projects to Bustamante, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
